Big Brooklyn Style

Hey Divas!!  I'm not sure if all of you watched the series premiere of  Big Brooklyn Style, but it was awesome!  This show in case you didn't get to watch it is about a woman named Lisa Dolan who sets out to start her own plus size boutique.  She is a woman that has been plus size her whole life and knows what plus size woman are looking for in cloths and especially in New York their plus size options are pretty slim.  It is a great show to watch if you're looking for fashion advice but not only is her fashion advice A+ its like she is letting you into her family.  The shop is run by her husband and her daughter that lives in Florida i believe, so she isn't in every episode.  I cannot give anymore praise to this show! Every customer that comes in feels welcome and in her element.  Her website is www.leeleesvalise.com.  She is most popular for her bold prints and adorable wrap dresses so if you're looking for cute summer dresses this is the place i would look.

Hey Divas! sorry about the absence but i was taking a break to enjoy my memorial day weekend.  As the title states I am going to talk about the dreaded subject......SWIMSUITS! now for some plus size divas, summer can be an awkward time because of swimsuits..Well I'm here to help you so you can feel comfortable and fashionable at the pool this summer.  I myself suffer from some insecurities about going to the pool, but I've found with the right swimsuit it can make me feel a little more comfortable.  Now if you are suffering from insecurities about your legs here are some things you can do.

#1 buy a tankini.  Now for those of you that don't know what that is, its just shorts and a swim tank top.   a lot like this

# 2: Now for those that are having issues with your figure.  It is everyone's desire to make themselves look like they have an hour glass figure.  One way to do that is to get a halter top swimsuit.  A Halter top swimsuit has the ability to make your shoulders look slimmer as well as slimming you under the bust line to make your waist look smaller.













Now i realize that this swimsuit is a little bold but if you're looking to stand out then this is perfect but if you're not yet brave enough to wear this bright bold one piece then a simple black halter top will work to, like this:














# 3: Now if you still aren't comfortable with a swim suit then you can do a tankini look with an adorable wrap.
